1. What is the Spot the Ball competition?
The Spot the Ball competition is a game of skill where participants must use their judgement to determine where the cricket ball is in an image of a cricket scene. After the competition period ends, an expert judge will decide where they feel the ball position should be.. The winner is the participant whose selected position is closest to the judge’s decision.
2. How do I enter the competition?
You can enter the competition by visiting www.twacricket.com and submitting your entry online. Simply mark where you think the cricket ball is located in the image. Note: Only one entry per email address is allowed.
3. Is there a fee to enter?
No. Entry to the competition is completely free.
4. What is the age limit for this competition?
Participants must be aged 21 or over to enter the competition.
5. How is the winner determined?
Once the competition period ends, an independent expert judge will assess the image and decide where the ball should be. The participant whose chosen position is closest to the judge’s decision will be declared the winner. The judge’s decision is final, and no appeals or disputes will be entertained.
6. What prizes can I win?
The prizes for the competition are:
- Barmy Army Priority Pass
- A Cap and Backpack
- Hamper of Western Australian goodies
Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. The judges decision is final.
7. How many times can I enter?
Each participant is allowed only one entry per email address for the competition period.
8. What are the competition dates?
The competition is running from 29th September 2024 until 10th November 2024. However, these dates may change at any time without notice, so please check the competition page regularly for updates.
9. When is the closing date for entries?
The competition closes on 10th November 2024. Any entries received after this time will not be considered for the competition, though participant details may still be collected.
10. How will I know if I’ve won?
The winner will be contacted within 14 days of the competition ending. The prize must be claimed within 7 days of notification, or it will be forfeited, and the next closest entrant to the judge’s position will be declared the winner.
11. Can I change my entry after submission?
No, once you’ve submitted your entry, it cannot be changed. Please double-check your selection before submitting.
12. What happens if there is a tie?
In the event of a tie, where two or more participants have selected positions equally close to the correct location as judged by the expert, the tied entries will be placed into a draw, and the winner will be drawn from a hat.
13. How is my personal data handled?
Story9, on behalf of Tourism Western Australia (TWA), is running this competition. The personal data you provide will be used solely for the purposes of this competition. We take your data protection seriously, and your information will not be shared with third parties without your explicit consent.
